In Ukrainian director and actor Leonid Bykov's legendary film, "Only 'Old Men Go to Battle'", the main character, Captain Tytarenko, nicknamed "Maestro", utters the equally legendary line, "Who said you have to give up the song in war?" For us, the Boombox Family, these words are a guide to action. Territorial defence, police service, volunteering - at certain points, music is just not for me. The very idea of listening to anything, let alone playing it, seemed rebellious. But then... You carefully turn on your favorite song. And then another. Then many, many more. And that helps. Whether you're a long-time fan or you've just discovered the band, after hearing "Oy u luzi khrovona kalyna" performed by Andrii Khlyvnyuk, come to the band's European concerts. A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
