Kada Ad Libitum

"The band was formed in November 1995 under the leadership of guitarist László Válik. Kada's music is difficult to define clearly in terms of genre, and the musicians themselves do not even aspire to this. The foreign progressive and underground press compares the genre of KADA to the music of Frank Zappa, David Torn, King Crimson and Soft Machine. The band's instrumentation is jazz-rock-like, usually thinking in terms of longer compositions with both composed and improvised parts, noise-music models. Our music is not characterised by traditional sound systems or fixed structures, but rather by odd rhythms, dense changes or even monotony. We like to experiment, where even compositions that are considered ready-made are in a constant state of flux."
