György Kovásznai's film is the first full-length Hungarian animated feature film based on an original script for adults. At the time, it was received with some puzzlement by the audience and divided the industry, but today it is considered a classic. Kovásznai had previously developed the avant-garde style that made Habfürdőt so unique in his short films. The story is actually based on an ordinary love triangle: one day Anna Parádi, a spinsterish young woman, is unexpectedly approached by her colleague's fiancé, a hypochondriac window dresser, and begs her, crying, to save her from the irrevocable step of getting married that day. A cheerful, musical cartoon about young people of the time. It mixes several genres: musical, romantic comedy and sociological documentary. The music for the lyrics, written by Kovásznai, was composed by János Másik, who started out as a jazz musician and partner of Tamás Cseh, but later dived into the underground.
