In 2022, Balázs Turai's film won the Crystal Award for Best Short Film at Annecy, the world's most prestigious animation film festival. He was then recognised at the Sarajevo Film Festival with the Heart of Sarajevo Award for Best Short Film. In one year, it was screened at more than 100 film festivals in 47 countries, including 20 Oscar-qualifying festivals. It won the Hungarian Film Critics' Award and was nominated for the Annie Award in 2023.
Amok will be screened on 20 November at 7pm in the Lumen auditorium in Horánszky Street.
The film is 14 minutes long.
After the screening, Balázs Turai will give a talk about the making of Amok.
