Sum 41 never wanted to fit in. They never bothered, they never tried. Instead, they hit the road with vigour and drive in their distinctive style, characterised by pop-punk vocal themes and heavy, heavy metal professionalism. As a result, Sum 41 brought an unparalleled image to popular culture, from the turn-of-the-century domination of TRL MTV - Total Request Live - to their heady performance at the When We Were Young Festival. In the space of a year, they were asked by Iggy Pop to collaborate - hence the song Little Know It All - and paid tribute to Metallica with a breakout show for MTV Icon. Their music has also swept through major film franchises, from Spider-Man to American Pie to Go Girls!

They have created a triumvirate with the platinum-selling All Killer No Filler (2001), the gold-selling Does This Look Infected? (2002) and the now-classic Chuck (2004). The guys have persevered into the second decade and with 13 Voices (2016) and Order In Decline (2019) they have proven that they have as much power and energy as ever. Slant Magazine hailed the latter as "one hell of a fun ride ", while GQ hailed the band as "having made it all the way back". awards, a handful of Alternative Press Music Awards and Grammy nominations, in addition to packed venues everywhere, the band have decided to say goodbye with one last big bang - on their own terms.

Ignoring the rules and expectations, once again following their instincts, the band - Deryck Whibley (vocals, guitar), Dave Baksh (guitar), Jason McCaslin (bass), Tom Thacker (guitar) and Frank Zummo (drums) - say goodbye with a passionate final revelation in the form of the double album Heaven :x Hell. Heaven features 10 tracks of snarling, high-energy pop punk songs, while Hell consists of 10 heavy metal anthems, spiced with fierce solos and punchy riffs. Great, ballsy, their boldest and best work yet.

With Heaven :x Hell, the band are now embarking on their biggest tour to date, closing the European leg of the tour in front of more than 35,000 fans at the sold-out Paris La Défensa Arena in Nanterre, France. The tour will extend well into 2025, so the band can leave on top.
