Szimpla Blues session with Zsolt Benkő

Szimpla Jam has evolved from a single evening into a real jam bouquet.

In addition to the Sunday improvisational jams, wich have been running for the 9th year, we can

also meet on Mondays with novelties.

Efraim Demissie's hip hop dance evening, which is based on joint dancing and improvisational

jamming, was launched under the name of Free and Szimpla. The first Blues Jam will take place

on the 3rd of April, hosted by Zsolt Benkő on the guitar. As he is one of the greatest figures of

the domestic blues seen, it is great honor and pleasure to play with him for all of us. As he

wrote:

There will be a blues jam-session at Szimpla one Monday night a month.

Why blues? Because this style is the basis of almost every genre of today's music! One such

simple music that can be understood and felt by everyone, suitable expressing the here and

now feeling, which is one of the main goals of jamming. A couple of musicians, even complete

strangers, if they meet and play the blues, it can be an equivalent to reading a resume of each

other, if they are good observers.

In America, jam-session is an ongoing institution, a platform for musicians - for inspire and learn

from each other, forge new relationships, and a great help in the emergence of young talents.

Of course, there are written and unwritten rules for this common form of music, so that the

audience can have a great time.
