He tells of the power of music, its celestial and terrestrial nature, their contacts and collisions - through the fates and struggles of ancient gods and spirits. He speaks of musicians both good and vile, of peace- and war-making melodies, of almost tangible, vivid impossibilities, sometimes merciless judgements. His timeless and valid musical aesthetics, based on a library of literature and the testimonies of songwriters, are alternated and justified by music and song.
