Berecz András

2025-02-16T18:00:00.000Z

This evening, singer-songwriter András Berecz will tell the story of the birth of music, its divine and human meaning. He delves into Hungarian, ancient Greek, Mongolian, Kazakh, Chuvash and Irish legends and tales, in and out, with unbridled gusto. He tells of the power of music, its celestial and terrestrial nature, their contacts and collisions - through the fates and struggles of ancient gods and spirits. He speaks of musicians both good and vile, of peace- and war-making melodies, of almost tangible, vivid impossibilities, sometimes merciless judgements. His timeless and valid musical aesthetics, based on a library of literature and the testimonies of songwriters, are alternated and justified by music and song.
