Szabó Balázs's Band
Balázs Szabó Bandája will start the year with a season-opening concert in Budapest, returning to the Akvárium Klub stage after five years to fill the NagyHall with their soul-stirring music and lyrics. The popular band is preparing for the concert with new songs alongside their well-known, crowd-favourite songs, so this is an evening not to be missed!

Schedule
Balázs Szabó is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician (including guitar, violin and cavalier), puppet actor and storyteller. After leaving the band Suhancos in 2009, he realized his dream and founded his own formation, the Szabó Balázs Banda. The Fonogram-winning band (along with Balázs, Soma Acsády - bass guitar; László Ferencz - drums; Sebestyén Harangozó - guitar, vocals; Mátyás Ölveti - cello, vocals) has become one of the most popular bands in the country in recent years, and has achieved this by creating a completely unique, boundary-breaking and genre-building sound from the world of Hungarian folk music, which is fed by the chanson world, with pop, rock, funk elements and chamber music flavouring. Their work has a strong tradition of setting poetry to music, and in addition to their own compositions, they have dedicated a major album to songs from the poems of János Pilinszky and Miklós Radnóti, and have also set music to other poets (Krisztián Grecsó, Ferenc Szemlér).
Akvárium
As they describe themselves, it is Budapest's most frequented venue, which is also multifunctional. Akvárium is great for award ceremonies, afternoon coffees and, most importantly, concerts, thanks to the well-picked, cross-genre selection.
