A composer of grand oratorios and poignant operas, he was a brilliant musician and a talented businessman. The music world will commemorate the 340th anniversary of George Frideric Handel's birth in 2025. The February marathon at Müpa Budapest will give us a colourful cross-section of his rich oeuvre, and even more, as never before have so many early music ensembles performed within the walls of the institution on a single day. The Baroque master's music will fill the whole building: not only in the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall and the Festival Theatre, but also in the Lobby with a tableau exhibition, the Glass Hall with concerts by music academics and the Auditorium with screenings of concert films.
