The aim of the programme is to transform the Foyer of the House of Music, with its special architectural space, into a living sound space for a short period of time, where the spectacle of nature, the unusual acoustics of the space and the sounds of musical nature can be intertwined. The instruments placed at different points in the space further enhance and convey this effect: the instrumental performers are positioned at different points, creating different echo effects in a natural way.

The Bartók Konzi - New Music event is running for the twelfth year in the Bartók Conservatory, the training school of the Liszt Academy. As a non-formal curriculum, the programme aims to broaden the musical horizons of student musicians and prepare them to interpret contemporary music. The organisers are keen to involve as many students as possible in the various programmes, which will then be presented in a spring project day. The young musicians spend months preparing for the events, which are usually based on a looser theme.
