Barabás Lőrinc Quartet
Since its formation in 2015, the Barabás Lőrinc Quartet has released three albums (Beardance 2016, Other Than Unusual 2018 and Open 2021) and has incorporated a variety of styles in addition to instrumental pop and jazz. Barabás' compositions are influenced by both world music and classical music.
Lőrinc Barabás Quartet - OPEN - third album.
The world is an open space to play, and everything that is artistic expression is primarily aimed at the unknown. On his album Open, Lőrinc Barabás also shows a new voice. The stylistic traits we have known him for - his affinity for regular, repetitive forms, his insight, his pure simplicity, his play with a wide variety of styles - are still evident, but the album definitely opens a new chapter in the band's musical life. New members have joined the Quartet, and although the familiarity of trumpeter-composer and keyboardist Mátyás Premecz, bassist Péter Ajtai and drummer Ádám Klausz goes back to earlier times, the freshness of their reunion shines through on this recording.
In addition to the songs released so far, the band also presents new compositions at Fonó.
