Forest around House of Music

2025-06-03T16:00:00.000Z

Let's take a forest bath together for four months in Városliget! An hour and a half long group recreational walk, based on the forest therapy method, will help participants to slow down, relax, unwind and observe what is around them in the here and now. Guided walks led by Niki Rendes, environmental educator, forest spa guide, tree inspector, will focus on the outside and the inside. We connect with ourselves, with nature, with each other, with constant change. There are no expectations, only the small joys and wonders of the moment. Guaranteed refreshment, offline relaxation in the fresh air. We invite you to get to know us on our first occasion in May. Birds, trees, insects, clouds, wind, you and me. An hour and a half of (re)connecting with nature, trees, birds, ourselves and each other in May with the subtle support of the forest bath/Shinrin yoku method.

The four sessions of Forest Baths around the House of Music in City Park are a series of unconventional, themed forest bathing walks, themed around specific natural phenomena, seasons, sounds and smells and the House of Music. It is also possible to register for a single session. The programme is based on a sequence of guided forest walks developed by international forest therapy institutes.

It aims to provide relaxation, recharging, physical and mental regeneration, community experience and quality me-time.

◖ Rendes Niki ◗

I'm Niki Rendes, environmental educator, forest spa manager, tree inspector. I graduated in Biology, did research in ecology and lived in Guinea, West Africa, where I was involved in field research. The African jungle, tropical trees, savannahs, culture, people, colours and scents are my childhood dream and my eternal love and inspiration. In my home country, I have devoted most of my energy over the last twenty years to projects promoting environmental and global education, social justice, sustainable living and voluntary simplicity. For this, I believe it is essential to reconnect with nature. This is the reason I trained as a tree inspector and forest guide and run Inner Forest experiential programmes.
