REST IN BEATS vol. 3. – Millennium Flyer Exhibition – Jövőzene Kollektíva
There’s no doubt that the turn of the millennium was the golden age of Hungary’s party culture. Tilos parties, Kultiplex, West Balkán at Kopaszi Dam, Trafó Pince, Jailhouse next door, Mono Club, Cha Cha Cha, Cinetrip raves, Glu Glu Festival, the opening of A38, the launch of Ozora Festival—just to name a few. A time of breakbeat madness: big beat, breakbeat, nu skool, and the drum & bass wave that briefly dominated everything. Places, events, sounds that shaped the worldview of a whole—or rather multiple—generations.

We look back at these times with a touch of sentimental nostalgia…
Thanks to György "Ezixen" Lőrincz, alongside our own collection, we have received a significant archive of posters from key events of the era. The material is so extensive that it would be impossible and unnecessary to exhibit it all at once. Instead, we are launching a series of exhibitions where we’ll display these 20-25-year-old prints in themed selections over multiple events.
We are also expanding our collection, so if you own posters, flyers, or any other memorabilia from that era and would be willing to lend them for a pop-up exhibition, please reach out!
For this third event, instead of posters, we’re shifting the focus to flyers, as far more of them were printed, yet only a fraction ever made it onto walls as large-scale prints.
To top it off, we’ll celebrate with a party featuring DJs from the Tilos Rádió Jövőzene Kollektíva, artists who were key figures in the club scene of the millennium—including Titusz, Suhaid, Crimson, Infragandhi, and more to be announced soon!
🎟 Entry: The exhibition is free. Party tickets: 1000 HUF before midnight, 1500 HUF after—just about the same as back in the day.
