Schedule

The seventh Night of the Artefacts Festival is here!

Mutargy.com, the leading advertising and news portal of the Hungarian art market, the organiser of the Art Investment Conference and the publisher of The Hungarian Artists' Auction Market, will be holding its seventh edition of its major art event in 2023.

The three-day event, which will take place from 18 to 20 May, will feature nearly 100 programmes in 50 venues across Budapest, and will attract the public interested in the exciting world of art.

The three-day festival will give visitors a glimpse behind the walls of museums, studios and galleries. Workshops like Herend porcelain moulding and painting techniques, the basics of concrete embroidery, and art therapy sessions will also be included. The professional lectures will feature a wide range of exciting topics on art trade, jewellery history, paper antiques and contemporary art from top experts in the field. Warehouses, restorer and artisan workshops will be revealed. We will visit the studios of contemporary artists, where we will have the opportunity to gain an insight into their creative process. As in previous years, there will be exciting thematic walks and film screenings, and families will be invited to join in with guided tours. This year's festival will offer art lovers exciting new venues and activities, with 12 different types of programmes to choose from.

This year's Night of the Artefacts Festival will focus on the role of women in art. The central theme of this year is "Women about art, art about women". Through a variety of programmes, art is a unique and creative way to highlight the presence and role of women in art. This will allow the participating audience to understand the importance and dimensions of the theme through an artistic experience.

The Night of the Artefacts Festival places great emphasis on including special events and activities that are accessible to people with disabilities. In this way, the Night of the Artefacts Festival has become a niche event that contributes to providing a lasting and meaningful cultural experience for people with disabilities and to effectively integrating them into the art-loving public without disabilities through a shared experience of art.
