Szent Efrém - Kings & Queens
The Kings & Queens in the title symbolise many things: the King could be Christ as the Heavenly King, but the album also features the Simba of the Lion King, or the music of Elvis "the King". And the Queen is largely the Queen of Heaven, the Virgin Mary, but could also evoke the Queen. But perhaps more importantly: masculinity and femininity, sacredness and profanity, light and dark, tight tempos and flowing curtains of sound, quiet turns and loud shouts - and so many other moods and emotions are on display on King as well as Queen. And all of them come to life simultaneously, in three dimensions and in many different ways, side by side, reflecting and complementing each other.
