BMC Records Goes Live | Bacsó Kristóf Triad, vendég: Tóth István
2025-04-02T18:00:00.000Z
Saxophonist-composer Kristóf Bacsó occasionally extends his own musical horizons with guest musicians, as was the case when he recorded with Benin-born bassist Lionel Loueke at BMC Records (Pannon Blue), creating a kind of fusion of Hungarian-focused contemporary jazz and West African-influenced improvisational music, and then, with his own band, Kristóf Bacsó Triad, he recorded another album with guest bassist Daniele Camarda (Imaginary Faces).
The backbone of this evening is their new album. The album will be recorded for BMC Records in the days after the concert. The trio will be joined at the concert and on the album by the fantastically talented István Tóth, who will add to the excitement with both guitar and bass solos.
In recent years, Kristóf Bacsó has released four albums as a composer, and his compositions have been performed in delightful orchestrations by his trio, quartet, quintet and the Modern Art Orchestra, in which he has been active as a soloist and composer since the orchestra's foundation. Of all these formations, however, he considers his Triad orchestra as his own child, in which his two partners are keyboardist Áron Tálas and drummer Márton Juhász. In Triad's music, elements of jazz and contemporary music are mixed with an Eastern European feel, and improvisations play an important role alongside carefully crafted passages.
