The Karate band will perform at the A38 Ship on 23 April 2025!
Karate was formed in 1993 in Boston by Geoff Farina, Eamonn Vitt and Gavin McCarthy, and Jeff Goddard joined as bassist in 1995. Starting from their punk roots, the band expanded their musical horizons, experimenting with jazz-rock and post-rock.
In autumn 2024 they returned with a new album, "Make It Fit", their first new studio album in 20 years. The album reflects the band's mature, more sophisticated musical world with a fresh musical approach.

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
