István Grencsó is an inescapable figure in Hungarian free music and avant-garde jazz, active since the late 1970s. He became known in the 80s as a musician colleague of György Szabados, and since then he has played in countless orchestras in a wide variety of instrumentation and playing a wide range of music.

In his own bands (the Collective with its varying members, as well as duos, trios, quartets and quintets of different formations) he plays mainly improvised free music, jazz and his own compositions, but he has also appeared in many pop, rock and other formations. His alter-ego is beat poet Károly Amandai, frontman of AMA Beat, with guitar.
This evening is a special occasion, as we can hear him solo!
Tickets are 2500 HUF in advance and 3000 HUF at the venue, which directly supports our performers and our programmes!
