Sebestyén Márta
Márta Sebestyén, a world-renowned Kossuth, Liszt and Unesco Prize-winning performer, has been representing the Hungarian folk music tradition for five decades, and her commitment to it has made her known not only in Hungary but also worldwide. She has contributed to the international recognition of Hungarian music culture by performing traditional folk music elements in her own unique style.

The musical heritage created by Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály forms an important basis for his work. The two composers' approaches, which are based on the collection and authentic presentation of folk music, have a decisive influence on his performances. He has not only preserved the traditions of folk music, but has created a unique style by staging these traditions in new forms.
In his concert "I blow my horn..." he presents a rich and varied musical repertoire, drawing on both secular and sacred melodies. The performance includes songs from both oral tradition and written sources, both reflecting Hungarian musical heritage.
The concert is a journey through time, in which the performers take the audience on a journey from the world of the codices to the lyrics of the 20th century.
In this journey through time, Márta Sebestyén will be assisted by, among others, the great lady of early music, the Liszt Prize winner Judit Andrejszki, as well as by prominent representatives of folk music. Béla Szerényi, Jr. on the cello, and Dániel Szabó on the cimbalom.
