Jazz Juniors | Zbigniew Chojnacki (PL)

Poland's eccentric master of the harmonica, Zbigniew Chojnacki, has added live electronics and effects pedals to his instrument to create a unique form of meditative trance music in the midst of cacophony. "Armed with his harmonica and myriad instruments of live electronics, Zbigniew Chojnacki throws himself without a lifeline after the musical risks. His improvisations oscillate back and forth between ambient, noise and drone music, avant-folk and romantic melodies full of tension and fire. Each encounter of artist, audience, space and instrument is radically different from any previous or subsequent occasion: the musical process is sometimes calm, sometimes agitated, but always striving towards new melodic connections."
