Precision, intensity and emotion characterise Simon's sound. From a young age, he has worked with many of the world's most prominent musicians, making his mark on many historic recordings and tours around the world.
Simon Phillips has worked with such iconic figures as Jeff Beck, Jack Bruce, Pete Townshend, Al Di Meola, Jon Anderson, Jan Hammer, Stanley Clarke, Jon Lord, Mike Oldfield, Brian Eno. Soon he was recording and touring with such notable artists as Mick Jagger, Asia, The Who, Gary Moore, Joe Satriani.
The first Protocol release was in 1989, but Simon's compositions really began to flourish with the 2013 album Protocol II. Protocol II firmly established Simon's new line-up as one of the truly great bands in the history of jazz-rock. 2022 saw the release of Protocol V. This is a collection of high-energy tunes with the Simon Phillips signature that we've come to expect from the Protocol legacy!
EIFFEL ART STUDIOS
The largest indoor complex in Hungarian railway history, a system of vast covered spaces unique in Europe, the Northern Railway Maintenance and Engineering Works was built between 1884 and 1886. After years of alterations and renovations, starting from 2020 it is now home to the Hungarian State Opera’s new logistics and art centre.
