Szakcsi Lakatos Béla-emlékkoncert | Elégia

We commemorate the late Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, who passed away in 2022, with annual concerts. He had a two-decade-long working relationship with BMC, during which time he contributed a total of 10 albums to the BMC Records catalogue, covering a wide variety of musical styles. In keeping with the diversity of his career, different musicians and formations have taken to the Opus stage for the commemorative concerts. The performers include musicians who have played with Szakcsi for many years, or who have had little or no opportunity to accompany him on his musical adventures, but they all share a common spirit of creativity that is close to the artistic world of the legendary jazz pianist. The concerts will bring to life the material from Szakcsi's albums, and his compositions will be performed in a reimagined form.
