The closing concert of our themed weekend entitled "The City in the House – Szeged" will feature a performance by the city's iconic rock band, Nyers, led by Zoltán Czutor. On Sunday evening, one of Szeged's most iconic rock bands, Nyers, led by Zoltán Czutor (later Belmondo), which was active until the mid-2000s and has since only performed on special occasions, will give a concert to mark this special occasion. One of the most popular bands of the 1990s and the first half of the 2000s, Nyers' unique world of funk rock, alternative metal, and later a wide variety of styles, which produced many hits, was a beautiful highlight in the history of Hungarian music.

Gábor Hevér, the band's first singer in its early days, will also perform as a guest of honor during the evening.

Schedule

Since the opening of the House of Music, it has been part of our mission to showcase the musical life of Hungarian cities, and it was with this goal in mind that we created our City in the House series, in which rural cities with a rich musical and cultural life have presented their diverse musical life, outstanding ensembles, art festivals, and emerging talents, such as Pécs, Székesfehérvár, Veszprém, and Debrecen. On the last weekend of May and the first weekend of June, as spring turns to summer, the audience of the House of Music will have the opportunity to get to know the musical life of Szeged. The City in the House series embodies the House's mission, with the Szeged program offering a diversity of genres and educational opportunities, while also giving future talents a chance to showcase their skills. During Saturday's cavalcade in Szeged, a wide range of genres will be represented, from classical music – led by the Szeged Symphony Orchestra's Saturday evening concert – to the Kövér Béla Puppet Theater's productions, folk music and jazz performances, and educational discussions.
