The Hungarian Heritage Award-winning orchestra has chosen the preservation and transmission of the culture of the Carpathian Basin as its vocation. A culture whose roots go back hundreds of years and which can be a real strength for our survival. The members of the orchestra are currently musicians of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble. Our concerts feature the most beautiful music of the Carpathian Basin. They consider the preservation of tradition important, and therefore, in addition to concerts, they also play a major role in folk music education. A few years ago, they founded the Transcarpathian Folk Music Training Centre.
Fanfara Complexa
The band plays rhythmic dance music based on Moldavian Csango, Romanian and Gypsy melodies. The Balkan-influenced instrumental music, performed with saxophones, accordion, cobos and drums, evokes the somewhat eclectic wedding and ball atmosphere of a rural world that seems to be disappearing.
Kobuci kert
World music evenings, jazz stories, underground, folk music in all its forms and some very serious blues. All this at Kobuci, one of Budapest's best outdoor venues with a garden.
