Serei Dániel – Refrection

The band Refrection is the first project of drummer Dániel Serei, winner of the Artisjus award. The quintet is a kind of musical reaction to the experience of the first decades of the 21st century, to the joyful and traumatic moments lived every day. The contradiction of sometimes enjoying a swim in a world of technological advances and communication networks, and at other times preferring to hide from everything and everyone. Refrection, while pushing genre boundaries and mixing musical styles, focuses on the musical representation of everyday beauty and harmony. The band's lead drummer has previously performed with the Budapest Jazz Orchestra, Pankastic and the Krisztián Oláh Quartet, among others. In 2015, he was named Best Soloist in the Hungarian Jazz Combo Competition and in 2017 he was awarded the Dezső Lakatos Ablakos Jazz Performing Arts Scholarship.
