Kovács Linda – Balázs Tamás Duó

The duo of Linda Kovács and Tamás Balázs brings together two distinctive musical visions, which are expressed in original compositions and jazz standards. Linda Kovács is active as a jazz singer, songwriter and arranger, interested in improvisation, personal sound and free movement between genres. She has released several solo albums, of which the big band album Sunflower, recorded with the Budapest Jazz Orchestra in 2019, was well received by both the industry and the public. The other member of the duo, Tamás Balázs, is an award-winning composer, arranger and solo pianist who graduated from the jazz faculty of the Graz Academy of Music. Since 2014, he has been living in Budapest, leading a trio with Hungarian musicians, and is an active participant in the Hungarian jazz scene. His music is characterized by a sensitivity to form, harmonic subtlety and a contemporary jazz spirit. As a composer he has also been commissioned for film music.
