Subcarpați
Subcarpați is one of the most popular contemporary Romanian bands, founded in 2010 by Marius Alexe, aka MC Bean, in 2010. It is a colorful, ever-changing, large-scale hip-hop-electronic-traditional music collective that blends the old with the new, traditional folk music with modern sounds, constantly preserving and renewing.
It combines folk instruments (kavalt, flutes, cimbalom) with live drums and pop music instruments, and will take to the stage with ten members for its first performance in Budapest to present its energetic and lively production.

Schedule
MC Bean is joined by musicians playing traditional instruments from various regions of Romania, but there are also artists from other fields (such as visual artists), and there is a great deal of freedom of movement between generations and genres within the collective. The point is that, inspired by each other and drawing on each other's roots, they create beautiful genre crossovers under Bean's leadership, which include hip-hop, downtempo, trip-hop, dubstep, dancehall, and folk music from various regions of Romania. They have released 10 albums to date and deliver visually appealing, energetic performances live.
