Lakásszínház // Halász Rita: Mély Levegő
Lakásszínház // Rita Halász: Deep Air
performed by Hanna Pálos
Perhaps there comes a point in everyone's life when they wish they could move back into their childhood bedroom and watch the most important decisions of their lives being made. The main character of the show, Vera, a visual artist with small children, is looking for the answer to why things happened to her the way they did. The show is a story of divorce, but it is much more than that. It's about silencing and confrontation, memories, slackness, snowfall and heatwaves, but most of all, it's about finding a way home to oneself.
Rita Halász's debut novel, Deep Air, won the Margó Prize in 2021 and was shortlisted for the Libri Literary Award's 10 best books in the same year.
Hanna Pálos, a member of the Katona József Theatre in Budapest, is now seen in a more intimate, personal and direct production, after having portrayed major roles on the big stage.
