Dragon Day in Szentkirályszabadja - 2025

On September 6, Szentkirályszabadja will enchant everyone with paper kites, family experiences, and colorful programs on Kite Day. It will be a great event for children and adults alike!

On September 6, Szentkirályszabadja will once again be filled with colors, wind, and good cheer: the 28th Kite Day is coming!

This family-friendly event on the outskirts of the village will feature spectacular kite flying, kite-making workshops, competitions, and demonstrations. Bring your favorite kite!

The aim of the event is to promote kite flying. In addition to a full day of kite making and flying, the jury will award a special prize to the owners of the most beautiful kites. In addition to numerous Hungarian kite flying clubs, foreign associations will also be represented, filling the sky with colorful, homemade kites of various shapes.

You can see as many as 150-250 paper kites in the sky!

An important part of the event is community building and reviving local traditions – there will be horse shows, kite flying, paragliders, and even motorized kites, vintage motorcycles and tractors will be on display, and you can even take a horse-drawn carriage ride. It will be a truly fun autumn weekend for young and old alike, so don't miss it!
