Raw, outspoken, powerful – The Shame arrives in Budapest with their new album
The Shame is one of the most energetic British bands of today. The band, consisting of five guys in their twenties, rocks the house every time they perform, and their latest album, Cutthroat, promises to be even stronger than ever. Shame was recently the star of the Reflektor Festival, and now they're making waves with their new material at the A38 Ship on October 30.
Shame is a band of five childhood friends – Charlie Steen, Sean Coyle-Smith, Eddie Green, Josh Finerty, and Charlie Forbes. The band released their debut album in 2018, and since then, shame's reputation has grown exponentially, as have their sonic ambitions, technical vision, and ability to realize it all. With legendary live performances and three critically acclaimed albums under their belt, the band is now ready to set a new standard with their new material, Cutthroat, arriving on September 5. Cutthroat is raw, unapologetic, like the person who shows up uninvited to the party. Cutthroat is Shame at their best. "It's about cowards, jerks, hypocrites," says singer Charlie Steen. "Let's face it, there are a lot of those around these days."

A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
