Underground above the clouds!

The band SoNaR hasn't performed for seven years, since 2018, but now—on October 3, 2025—we are finally returning. And although many of our cells have surely been replaced since then, our faith and enthusiasm for music has not; in fact, it has become even stronger and more intense.

What awaits you on this special evening?

Since 2004, SoNaR has been creating film-like, “instrumental progressive pop” music, a massive, pulsating soundscape that is both relaxed and tense. It is characterized by powerful, tight rhythms, soaring guitar themes, and beautifully composed noises, abstract solutions, and a shift between downtempo and tense, scratchy rock music.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for reaching out to us during our hiatus and asking us to play again and continue.

It is particularly interesting that new songs are also in the works, one or two of which you will hear for the first time.
