What makes a design festival good?

According to edđť’ľt, a design festival is good if it is able to show the many faces of design. If it conveys the work of designers, companies, and institutions working in various fields in the form of diverse programs, exhibitions, and discussions. If it is understandable, enjoyable, and forward-looking. Not only for professionals, but also for the lay audience. We think Designblok in Prague is like that.

What can you expect?
The evening will be kicked off by our member Kitti Mayer, who will talk about Designblok's mission and cornerstones, and share her favorites from this year's festival.
This will be followed by an informal professional discussion with our guest, furniture designer and restorer Fanni Hegedűs, who was also an exhibitor in Prague this year, presenting the objects of their joint brand, SCHŰS design, to an international audience together with her partner, visual artist and architect Andi Schmied. We will also be joined by ceramic designer Mátyás Zagiba, whose project, UNEARTHED, was presented to visitors at the festival's Diploma Selection exhibition.
