The exhibition features everyday objects—clothes, hair, blankets, scarves, food—that do not speak for themselves: they reflect the subtle glow of the bodies and people behind them, serving as material witnesses to the possibility of transformation. The recurring presence of textiles metaphorically evokes acquired flexibility, participation in stories, and layers of identity—how we wear, protect, or shed the skin that has been tailored for us.
By stripping the body bare and then dressing it again, the exhibition explores boundaries from the perspective of the trans-body and post-body. Where does the self end, when does clothing become an extension of the body? The body literally becomes entangled in objects. Kovács Bezüge transforms ironing into a performative event, becoming not only an artist but also a spectator of himself in the process. Farkas Aliz examines the relationship between transgenderism and clothing, re-tailoring previously depicted bodies.
In addition to the personal, the collective perspective is also emphasized: Common Jam makes stories visible through the power of community, while Lilith's Legacy evokes the delicate threads of mourning and remembrance through quilt-making, raising the question of the collective body. The exhibition space becomes an open wardrobe, where the imprints of desired, achieved, and relinquished roles are drawn out, and the body is revealed as a constantly re-woven narrative.
