Múzeum+ Tihanyi
2025-12-03T17:00:00.000Z
Born 140 years ago, Lajos Tihanyi was a key figure in the avant-garde artist group known as the Eight. Until the 1970s, Hungarian audiences knew his work almost exclusively from black-and-white reproductions, and his legacy arrived in Hungary via an adventurous route. At the MÚZEUM+ program on December 3, you can get to know Lajos Tihanyi, the open-hearted friend and revolutionary artist. Photographer Zoltán Tombor and art historian Gábor Bellák will talk about the great predecessors André Kertész and Brassaï (among others) during their joint guided tour of the exhibition. Literary scholar Anna Juhász will discuss the relationship between literature and coffee house culture, and writer and art historian Rita Halász will also give a guided tour. During a roundtable discussion moderated by art manager Nóra Winkler, curator Mariann Gergely and art historians Gergely Barki, Pál Szeredi Merse, and Tünde Topor will explain the secrets of Lajos Tihanyi's art. During the program, visitors can choose from a number of other themed guided tours, while those with a creative streak can get into the Christmas spirit by making their own creations. Live music will be provided throughout the evening by the Soso Lakatos Quartet, and fine wines will be supplied by the Pócz Winery in Balatonlelle.

WINE | Pócz Pincészet
Pócz József began building his ten-hectare Balatonlelle estate in 1991. Today, the estate includes not only vineyards and winemaking facilities but also guest accommodations. Thanks to the local climate and the nearly constant temperature of the soil, the wines can retain their quality for many years. The winery was built into the hillside in a way that preserves ecological balance and remains in harmony with the environment. Their winemaking philosophy focuses on preserving the rich flavors, aromas, and fruitiness of the grapes.
TEAHOUSE | Big Ben Teaház
On December 3, Big Ben Teaház will provide fine teas for art lovers. Craving a classic fruit tea or something more unusual? Browse and choose your favorite!
