This year, Balázs Szabó Band will once again bid farewell to the year with a concert full of singing and dancing on the A38 ship on the Danube. Heartwarming and heartfelt music, a joyful end to the year – don't miss it!
Multi-instrumentalist songwriter-singer Balázs Szabó founded the Szabó Balázs Band in 2009, which has matured into one of Hungary's most popular bands in recent years, drawing on Hungarian folk music, with elements of pop, rock, and funk, and a touch of chamber music, achieving a completely unique, boundary-breaking, and genre-defining sound. Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the band made its jubilee year even more memorable with many concerts and the release of a new album, Keringés, which was released on November 20, 2024, featuring 12 great tracks. At the New Year's Eve concert, songs from the new album will be performed alongside previous audience favorites.
Location
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
