BMC Records Goes Live | Kaja Draksler – matter 100 (SI/NL/PL/US/IT)

Kaja Draksler formed the band Matter 100 at the request of Amsterdam's Bimhuis. Their music is defined by song tradition, while the exploration of sound serves as a source of ideas and a compass. Simple harmonies are colored and expanded with microtonality, and the ensemble's sound is shaped with amplification and effects. Dean Young's sometimes sung, sometimes recited lyrics range from experimental to surrealist poetry. Draksler has chosen companions who, regardless of age and country of origin, have individual voices and rich musical backgrounds, thus opening up challenging and fresh possibilities for his compositional work. The band will also record an album for BMC Records during the concert days.
