The goal of Kurzgesagt is to get to know and understand the widest universe, or if that is perhaps impossible, at least to ask the questions that lead to understanding.

Alcohol is wonderful! Or is it not?

Why does alcohol become part of everyday encounters? Where is the line between enjoyment and risk? Why do we normalize drinking – and how can we talk about it honestly, without judgment? What do the studies show about how alcohol affects relationships and decision-making? Can there be conscious, responsible presence in a world where drinking is almost a social reflex?

We would like to understand the mechanism of action of alcohol and its place in our society through the conversation of three experts, guided by these and similar questions.
