After their smashing concert two years ago, Chicago punk quartet Rise Against returns to Hungary on July 1 with a new album under their belt to rock Budapest Park once again.

Few bands have chosen their name as well as Rise Against. While fashion trends have come and gone, Rise Against has remained a reliable compass of artistic resistance. Although they have constantly updated their formula, they have successfully preserved their original rebellious spirit for more than a quarter of a century. On their latest album, Ricochet, released by Loma Vista, they have created what is perhaps their most visceral, urgent, and high-stakes song cycle to date.
In the four years since Rise Against's last opus, the world has been overwhelmed by shameless lies, brazen greed and shocking cruelty - a decline that has not escaped the band's attention. Ricochet takes a close look at these crises and dissects them with clear insight and raw emotion.
Budapest Park
Budapest Park, the biggest and coolest open air concert venue of the city hosts the cream of the crop in foreign and domestic mainstream music every year. At first glance, it might seem like the Park is very much out of town, but this is far from the truth - and since the soundsystem was completely renovated last season, we can only recommend the venue even more.
