her reading party
The event is English-friendly. You can find the English description below.
❣️Dear Everyone,
in February 2026, we are once again inviting you to a Feminist Reading Party. On this occasion, you can read together with friends and strangers alike, and then speak honestly about the problems that affect you and others, and about what it means to be a woman in the 21st century.
This year our main focus is everyday life: when are we invisible, and when is our voice loud? What do we see in our grandmother’s eyes when she only sits down to eat at the table at the very end of the family dinner? Where do our problems stem from, where did things go wrong? How many responsibilities do we hold together because of our gender, how much depends on us? The list of questions is endless, but all of them are relevant.

Schedule
Bring any book with you. It can be the one you’re currently reading, your favorite book by a female author, or a novel that explores interesting life stories. So, anything. The important thing is that you arrive open-minded and curious!
This is a safe space where you are welcome to speak up freely.
If you feel like it, you can also choose a book from the Mini Feminist Library set up especially for this occasion on the venue!
❤️🔥Gathering from 6:30 PM
❤️🔥Group reading: from 7:00 PM
❤️🔥Discussion with guiding questions: 8:00–8:30 PM
This year the event comes to life in collaboration with Difficult Women Book Club again.

During the festival, we are organizing a fundraising campaign for the BMSZKI Dózsa Street Night Shelter, which provides accommodation in Budapest for homeless women and other women in precarity. They provide everything from low-access-barrier aid to a special 24-hour support. BSZKI also operates a trauma-sensitive gynecological clinic.
You can find detailed information about the fundraiser here and soon on the festival's Facebook events page.
