Decades after shaping the sound of funk alongside James Brown and George Clinton, Fred Wesley is embarking on a new journey that bridges his jazz roots and an exciting future: Generations.
Generations is a versatile trio consisting of Fred Wesley (trombone), Leonardo Corradi (organ), and French drummer Tony Match.
The band originally came together to pay tribute to the soulful jazz style of legendary organist Jimmy Smith, but the three musicians immediately found common ground—and the groove has been going strong ever since.
Generations Trio doesn't just play jazz – they weave rap, soul and funk into their music, creating a sound that is both diverse and energetic. The legendary Fred Wesley on trombone, Leonardo Corradi on organ and Tony Match on drums make up this extremely diverse formation. What was initially dedicated to the legacy of Jimmy Smith has now grown into a cross-border musical journey – where the rhythm is always alive and pulsating, wherever they perform.

A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
