"In March 2015, I embarked on the path of setting poetry to music, as I still enjoy cultivating poetry, even though this did not manifest itself in any form during my school years. So, as Szabolcs Biró Maszkura, clinging to the ample skirt of poetry, with my solo performances, christened Poétás, I wish to cultivate and bring to life poems set to music, selecting from the gems put to paper by the unforgettable poets of Hungarian literary history. My goal is to introduce these carefully collected masterpieces to the people of today's modern age, mostly in the form of songs based on the poems of Ady Endre, József Attila, Petőfi Sándor, and Arany János.
Location
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
