Gabriel Zucker & Gyárfás Attila feat. Bam Rodriguez (US/HU/VE)

Attila Gyárfás and Gabriel Zucker first crossed paths in New York in 2017. Their transcontinental collaboration took shape in an ambitious duo project, whose unique synergy was born out of short but intense rehearsal periods. Sometimes using a concert piano and hi-fi system, other times a sparse drum kit, synthesizer, and a single speaker, the ensemble is capable of producing an astonishing range of sounds: complex, contrapuntal chamber music passages are followed by noisy, improvised soundscapes, before the musical process continues with Zucker's plaintive lullaby. This spring, the duo's concerts will be organized around Zucker's new album, Confession, released in November on Boomslang Records, with their old musician friend Bam Rodriguez joining them as a guest.
