Zita Gereben’s recently released fourth album, *Catch the Feeling*, lets inspiration soar freely and honestly: this time, the songs took shape freely, without any genre constraints. The result is a diverse, joyful musical world where elements of R&B, jazz, blues, rock, pop, and neo-soul blend together, while each song retains the singer’s unique voice and personal style. Behind this diverse soundscape lies the band’s collective energy, which was forged in the studio just as much as on stage. Catch the Feeling is thus not just an album, but vibrant, heartfelt music of joy: every listener can find their own moment in it and “catch the feeling” that flows from the songs.
This exceptionally versatile singer-songwriter on the Hungarian music scene founded his own band in 2009. Following their first jazz album (
R
eady for the sun
), the more popular sound of their second album, titled Our Places, further expanded the band’s fan base, while their third album,
Az én fesztiválom, surprised the audience with songs in Hungarian. Zita Gereben has collaborated with numerous Hungarian groups: she was a member of Emil.RuleZ! and Gringo Sztár, and has contributed to productions by the Modern Art Orchestra, the Transform Quintet, Random Trip, and the János Nagy Trio. She has also ventured into the world of cinema, with soundtrack songs and minor roles in films such as
Happy Birthday, The Hungarian Wanderer, and Almost a Virgin
. His band consists of recognized and talented musicians from the Hungarian scene; this extremely close-knit group boldly draws on a wide variety of musical styles to create a unique sound, and the freedom of improvisation plays a major role in their energetic, entertaining performances.
