Baló Sámuel Trió, vendég: Dresch Mihály

The repertoire of the Sámuel Baló Trio consists mainly of the bandleader’s own compositions, inspired by impressions, moods, experiences, and memories, and often drawing from the worlds of modal jazz and folk music. During the band’s concerts, great emphasis is placed on freedom and spontaneity, while their playing draws on musical traditions—thus, every performance becomes a musical exploration born in the moment yet not boundless, leaving ample room for improvisation and musical dialogue. Formed in the spring of 2020, the band is happy to invite guests into this dialogue—this time, Mihály Dresch, a leading figure in Hungarian ethno-jazz, joins them.
