"...We all love Rage! It's probably the only real common denominator we have in Subscribe when it comes to childhood favourites! In the middle of 2004, it occurred to Thomas that we should play some of his favourite songs just for the sake of it and we got the chance to do it on the island that year! We were confident of success, as the songs were going pretty well, but I don't think any of us expected so many people and so much craziness! It was like watching a RATM DVD, but on a smaller scale. And then the guys would come to the backstage entrance saying how in one piece it was and what a bomb of energy and how fucking great the guitar solos were and the best part was that they were like, 'it's like we're listening to Zack' on vocals." That's how Bálint spoke about their first party, which they will repeat this evening.
Kings of crossover and founding masters of rap-metal the Californian Rage Against The Machine's most kicking and beatiful songs will be played by their Hungarian soul mates, the Subscribe.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
