Mélyrepülés is the only album by Tamás Cseh whose lyrics were written by Dénes Csengey, not Géza Bereményi. Csengey's lyrics are honest, straightforward and unabashedly mirror all ages and times, not only the '80s, but with a strong recommendation for us Hungarians. The album was released in 1988 and its relevance is still striking.
Its questions are topical in every age: artistic freedom, loneliness, alcohol and delirium, talent and power, and finally the search for individual freedom. A generation has known these songs and lyrics, and although 33 years and a change of regime have passed since the premiere, the lyrics have not lost their validity, because it is not a simple corpus, but rather the inner struggle of the Hungarian man and his desperate search for freedom. Is there no change of intellectual system?
The style of the performance, according to Csengey, is "a monodrama born of a wooden iron circle, an epic interspersed with songs".
