Perselí
The voices of Mexico, Portugal and Scotland come together in the Perselí trio, with Fuensanta on vocals and double bass, José Soares on saxophone and Alistair Payne on trumpet. In their songs, which unfold at a relaxed pace, leaves sprout, flowers blossom and an air of anxiety-free living touches the listener. Their playfulness is balanced by a hint of melancholy, and their energy shines with quiet serenity.

Perselí draws from folk music and the soundscape of nature and man's immediate environment, but the concert will also feature improvisations that evoke the style of modern chamber ensembles.
The members of the trio compose together as a true creative community, drawing on each other's ideas and influences to create their own personal soundscapes. Their musical horizons span a wide range of artists: Arvo Pärt, Morton Feldman, Björk, Radiohead, Chico Buarque, Fausto and Maurice Ravel are just the tip of the iceberg. All three have a respect for vulnerability, a sensitivity to sound, and a desire for constant exploration - and it is in this spirit that they began working together in 2018, releasing their first album in 2022.
