Valentine's Express on the Children's Railway
On 14 February, the Children's Railway invites couples in love to a special journey: at 17:00 and 19:00, a special Valentine Express train will depart from the terminus in Veszprém. Tickets for the train can only be purchased in advance at https://tixa.hu/love-gyv-2023 for HUF 15.990 each. During the one-and-a-half hour journey, the train makes the round trip between Hűvösvölgy and Szépjuhászné, passing through the 200-metre-long horseshoe-shaped tunnel of the railway twice, which makes the journey special because it is believed that horseshoe-shaped gifts given on Valentine's Day can strengthen relationships. We believe in the magic of the giant horseshoe-shaped tunnel, so we want to help this empowerment happen: to bring passengers to the gateway to happiness as the train enters.

Couples will be greeted with an appetising dessert and champagne in the romantic carriage on the outward journey, and on the return journey they can enjoy a Valentine's dinner with a choice of main course and dessert, while enjoying the picturesque panoramic view of Budapest.
Before the journey, each participant will have the opportunity to have a photo taken with their partner at the station. An official photographer will be on hand throughout the event to take photos of the most beautiful moments and the Valentine's Express train. The photos will be published a week later on the event's Facebook event. By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to allow the photographer to take the photos and publish them, and to use the photos for future Valentine's Express events.
Participants are kindly requested to arrive 20 minutes before the departure of the train!

- Eggplant stuffed with mushroom and vegetable bulgur with melted cheese (vegetarian)
- Fried chicken breast in potato sauce with garlic and cream cheese on top and parsley potatoes

- First names of the members of the couple (for the name board)
- Name of the couple's names (for the names of the couple's names)
- Your choice of dessert: chocolate muffin or gluten, sugar-free muffin
- The drink of your choice
Hűvösvölgy, Children's Railway
The railway is a unique spectacle in its own right, with children driving the trains. The railway line runs from Széchenyihegy station to Hűvösvölgy. In addition to the two terminals, trains make regular stops at 6 stations: Normafa, Csillebérc, Virágvölgy, Jánoshegy, Szépjuhászen and Hárshegy. The viewpoints, forest playgrounds, shrines and other points of interest of the Buda hills are located near the stations and stops. Families, groups of friends, school and kindergarten groups on half-day or one-day excursions can easily reach the starting point of the forest trails. Children and adults interested in rail transport can get up close to our vehicles, our facilities and our friends on the children's train service. Since its inception, the railway has been run by MÁV.
