Since its Edinburgh launch in 1998, Rebel Waltz, run by Stuart Patterson and Murray Richardson, has had residencies in Nottingham, Barcelona, London and Sao Paulo, and has performed in numerous other locations in Europe, Asia and South America. Polished to a shine over the past 25 years, their back to backs, often up to 5-6 hours in length, can be understood as a kind of house history course, in which anything from the earliest times to the near future can be unearthed.

At the 25th anniversary event, Jaffa Surfa and Vittorio Waxman, two of the genre's local experts, will get the audience in the right frame of mind.

Rebel Waltz...25 and still alive, embarks on a mini tour across Europe to celebrate twenty five years since the very first Rebel Waltz party . From its humble beginnings in Edinburgh's City Cafe to its brilliant parties at Barcelona's City Hall and La Terrrazza to its popular residency at London's East Village and its mad residency at Trackers in Sao Paulo there has been no stopping this night and part of the backbone of the UK house scene according to DJ Magazine. Rebel Waltz djs Murray Richardson and Stuart Patterson usually play back 2 back tune for tune and provide a soundtrack of only the most upfront and underground house music combined with a few classic trax always guaranteed to rock the place. The night has been successfully exported all around the globe with parties all over the world including UK, South America, Europe and Asia and the night was recorded live and released as a cd covermount for DJ Magazine. On Saturday 9th September Rebel Waltz touches down at Edith in Budapest for a second time, this time round with just Murray Richardson joining Hungary's finest House Masters Vittorio Waxman & Jaffa Surfa.
