Párhuzamos kapcsolások - The Breakup exhibition
In 4K's 10,000 square metres of buildings, our biggest challenge is always how to fill the spaces with life and content. On 23 October, DE MARKT will feature exhibitions: three women artists will temporarily move art into three different spaces in the building.
Parallel connections, just as in physics between the consumer and the source, so too between people, with multiple strengths. The three exhibitions look at human relationships, their own stories and the nature of their relationships with others from different perspectives.

Short introduction - Antalffy Paula
' By the time my mother turned 25, she had an unplanned baby and her partner had left. This year I turned 25, I had already experienced the difficulties of an unwanted pregnancy, an abusive relationship and sexual abuse.
The reason I talk so openly about these things is because I believe that most women's lives are riddled with similar difficulties. By talking openly about them, we begin to unravel centuries of oppression and trauma. These issues are at the core of my creativity and my work.
The Breakup series explores a woman's frustration, grief and loss - during and after a breakup. It highlights the wounds she must nurture alone after a fatal break in trust. The works offer insights into the heartache, the longing for a mate, the thrill of new love - and question what it means to finally let go and truly forgive.'
